Sahih: The genuine Traditions, the authentic ones. 2. Moothaq: Almost like the Sahih but the narration is not as strong as those of the Sahih. 3. Hassan: The fair Traditions although inferior in matter of authenticity. 4. Dha'eef: The weak Traditions which are not so reliable. And so the way to establish, check if it has support in the Quran.. Seek other corroborative proofs. Never Judge a book by its cover.Never accept anything blindly or at its face value . Use your AQL and Reason.Even when reading quran translations,read atleast three good narrators and seek the common ground in the interpretation. Even the Quran says one must Verify O you who have believed, if there comes to you ........one with information, investigate, lest you harm a people out of ignorance and become, over what you have done, regretful. (Al-Hujurat [49] : 6) The Forged (Fabricated) Hadiths 1. History of Fabrication: a. During Bani Umayya's Rule. b. During Bani Al-Abbas's Rule, in particular with the advent of the schools of thought in Islam. 2. By the year 200 H.: Total of 600,000 Hadiths were in existence, out of which 408,324 Hadith were fabricated Hadiths by 620 forgers. 3. Most Notorious Forgers: Ibn Jundub, Abu Bukhtari, Ibn Basheer, Abdullah Al-Ansaari, Al-Sindi. Ibn Au'jaa professed before he was hanged that he alone had forged 4,000 Hadiths. 4. Reason to Fabricate: a. Financial incentive by the Khalifas, for example Mu'awiya awarded Ibn Jundub and others hundreds of thousands of dinars for coming forth with Hadiths that suited him. b. As a means of self-promotion in the government. c. In a drive to enhance a particular school of thought. d. Fanaticism for a school of thought at the expense of others. 5. Al-Qassassoon (The story-tellers): Their operation and major role in the public. Ummayads were arch enemies of Nabi.Their main aim was to reduce the Importance of the Prophet's family i.e. the Ahl ul Bayt.Many sayings of Nabi in praise of the Ahl ul Bayt were burnt. Umayyads and especially Muawiya ordered scholars to script hadiths favourable to them and unfavourble to Nabi's family.(Ref: Sunni erudite Shibli Nomani - Siratun Nabi - Vol 1 Page 13) A large collection of original hadiths were destroyed . Imam Zohri, arch enemy of Imam Ali was the architect and master mind behind this script writing,long after Nabi's passing away. And so whatever was scripted was according to the wishes of these rulers who were hostile towards Nabi's family. And they discarded numerous saysing of Nabi and replaced them.I am not giving any opinions. Go and do some research. Muawiya systematically killed many of the Nabi's family including his wife Bibi Aeisha and Imam Hassan and other sahabas close to the Prophet and Beni Hashim Also all Hadith should have grounding in the Quran. The scholars have thus rejected many such hadiths which seems Daa'eef. Hence the hadith about Nabi marrying a child is fabricated by his enemies.Its Daa'eef !!!
